Au coeur de ce télescopage, il y a Ziggy Stardust, personnage androgyne qu’incarnait David Bowie dans les années 70, et qui entame une nouvelle vie sous les traits de Renaud Cojo. Cette cocasse schizophrénie teintée d’idôlatrie conduit Cojo à questionner l’acte de création et sa résonance dans l’intime. En vidéo, Cojo a filmé des épisodes burlesques où il s’est pris pour Ziggy : son pélerinage à Londres, sa visite chez le psy… Et sur le plateau, trois comédiens « amateurs » l’accompagnent. Bousculant les référencements d’un monde du spectacle où prévaut la reconnaissance officielle, il remet à l’ordre du jour l’utopie d’un théâtre de communauté. Les trois sont parfaits : Eliott Stardust à la guitare sèche, Laurent Potreau lisant du Jung, Romain Finart, puissant dans son fauteuil roulant, incarnant son propre rôle de stagiaire et celui de Cojo jeune, rêvant de devenir étoile. Sur scène ainsi, le théâtre ressemble bien plus à la vie. Il tient de la foire et du faux-semblant, n’arrête jamais son sens, et oscille sans cesse entre le grave et l’ironie.
