On découvrait, dans le premier volet de ce diptyque, une esthétique particulièrement originale, maillant théâtre, performance live, réseau Internet, récit vidéo, sérieux, humour, interactivité, autour d’une fascination pour Bowie, et la fameuse intro de son célébrissime morceau : Ziggy Stardust. Un spectacle électrique et détonnant qui voyait Cojo se prendre (ou faire semblant de se prendre) pour le chanteur anglais, et s’amuser des effets à la fois créatifs et surprenants des processus de mimétisme.
En jeu, la révolution Internet et les réseaux sociaux
Deuxième volet dans le même esprit, malicieusement sous-titré Suite Empire. Adeptes des jeux de mots et des hasards surréalistes, Cojo et sa troupe cherchent à se loger dans une inabordable suite Empire d’hôtel de luxe, et traquent les doubles de Renaud Cojo sur le Net. En question encore, et surtout en jeu, la révolution Internet et les réseaux sociaux qui nous construisent différemment. Cette suite, peut-être en plus pessimiste mais aussi en plus profond, porte sur scène, dans une esthétique du surf et du détournement, les (en)jeux identitaires d’une génération qui tisse ses liens affectifs sur la toile. Google et Facebook structurent dorénavant notre rapport au monde, et il est temps que le théâtre s’en saisisse. Deux spectacles à part donc, qui font œuvre des hasards associatifs du Web et de l’aléatoire de nos vies et de nos navigations.
