LE GdRA – Groupement de Recherche Artistique – s’est formé en 2005. Trio composé de Sébastien Barrier, comédien bonimenteur, de Julien Cassier, circassien danseur, et de Christophe Rulhes, musicien anthropologue, le GdRA mêle depuis le début arts vivants et sciences humaines. Combinant texte, danse, acrobatie, vidéo et musique, il fait se rencontrer des histoires vraies et sa pratique d’une théâtralité fragmentée, transdisciplinaire, relayant une narration éclatée. Dans Singularités ordinaires, le trio se fait passeur de trois histoires de vie. Arthur Genibre, 86 ans, est devenu musicien guérisseur dans le Quercy, quand on voulait absolument qu’il soit viticulteur. Wilfride Piollet, ex-danseuse étoile retraitée de l’Opéra de Paris a tenté d’introduire au programme de l’institution des pièces post-modernes. Michèle Eclou-Natey est d’origine algéro-togolaise et se confronte régulièrement dans le bar où elle travaille à des manifestations de racisme.
Fonction maïeutique
Trois personnes soumises à une adversité par-delà laquelle elles parviennent à s’inventer des places. Sur scène, le trio alternativement narre et habite la narration de ces histoires répercutées en vidéo. Les pièces du puzzle s’assemblent petit à petit, qui permettent de reconstituer la trajectoire et l’unité d’une personne. En amont de la création, il y a eu un long temps de recueil des informations. Une véritable méthodologie aux accents anthropologiques que le GdRA aborde comme une coécriture à fonction maïeutique. De même, pour Ethnographiques, qui se place sous le patronage de l’anthropologue polonais Malinowski, où six auteurs ont été invités à donner leur regard sur l’Usine de Tournefeuille en écho avec un ancien ouvrier de la friche artistique. A chaque fois, s’il s’agit bien de faire un théâtre documentaire, c’est surtout l’interaction entre ses pratiques artistiques et l’acte de se raconter, et par là de se construire, qui intéresse le trio. Ainsi, le GdRA cherche à produire un laboratoire de la narration scénique, qui fasse trembler les frontières entre fiction et réalité, et place la personne et ses émotions comme le fondement sensible du partage.
