Après avoir mis en scène des textes de Jean-Claude Grumberg ou Boris Vian, Vincent Ecrepont revient à l’écriture de plateau, à ce théâtre de l’intime qu’il façonne avec pudeur et délicatesse au cœur de questionnements essentiels de la vie humaine, souvent passés sous silence sur nos scènes – tels la maladie ou la perte d’un enfant. Si son écriture naît de témoignages et d’expériences vécues, elle ne peut cependant se résumer à un théâtre documentaire tant elle assume une théâtralité distanciée, parsemée de trouées poétiques et d’échappées fictives, d’onirisme et parfois d’humour.
Entre incarnation et distanciation
Etre là interroge un sujet de société fondamental : celui du vieillissement de nos proches. Comment être là, lorsque la perte d’autonomie et de mémoire oblige à vivre autrement les relations ? Inspiré par des témoignages recueillis pendant trois ans au pôle gérontologie du CH de Beauvais, le texte articule trois histoires différentes portées par un trio de comédiens, Céline Bellanger, Véronic Joly et Sylvain Savard, qui interprètent à tour de rôle la personne âgée, le référent familial et le référent hospitalier. Entre le présent et les traces du passé, entre la pensée et le ressenti, la mise en scène vise à « universaliser l’intime du propos ».
