Le festival « Jazz à la Villette », qui s’achève bientôt, se double d’un « festival dans le festival » intitulé « Under The Radar », propice aux repérages d’artistes-explorateurs. Parmi ceux-ci, on souligne avec enthousiasme la réapparition de la phalange d’Eve Risser qui a marqué la dernière édition de Banlieues Bleues. La musique du White Desert Orchestra, tentette augmenté d’un chœur, fait écho au choc vécu par la jeune musicienne lors de sa découverte des Canyons de l’Ouest Américain. « J’ai pu ressentir physiquement et intensément les forces et les âges de notre Terre. Les failles, les trous dans le sol sont sources de grandes tensions, l’air vibre entre les deux parois du canyon. Les gorges sont comme une plaie… Finalement, on voit l’intérieur de la terre comme à l’intérieur d’une peau ouverte. C’est très émouvant. » explique la jeune musicienne qui a souhaité associer au projet le trompettiste norvégien Evind Lønning, « un grand musicien qui navigue entre musique écrite et improvisation, jazz, musique classique, contemporaine et expérimentale », ajoute Eve Risser.
