Icône davantage que figure historique, sainte baroque, ange blond transfigurant la laideur dictatoriale de Perón : Evita connut le destin fulgurant des étoiles trop brillantes. Assassinée par un cancer, la madone des déshérités, des descamisados, devint immortelle à trente-trois ans et marqua pour longtemps la mémoire argentine. « Pour certains, une salope, pour d’autres, une sainte », remarque Stéphan Druet, qui a voulu en savoir plus, au-delà de la romance et des fantasmes, sur ce personnage « paradoxal et fascinant ». Vêtu d’une immense robe blanche, le comédien Sebastiàn Galeota joue « le coiffeur d’Eva, qui depuis sa mort se prend pour elle, allant jusqu’à un dédoublement de la personnalité ». Sur la jupe d’Evita, sont projetées des images, transformant cet étonnant et émouvant personnage en son propre mémorial.
