ORCHESTRE SYMPHONIQUE, FADO / BASILIQUE
C’est l’une des plus belles et charmeuses propositions de l’édition 2021 d’un festival qui aime imaginer de l’inouï en poussant des portes que personne ne pense jamais vraiment à ouvrir. Ici le sésame est la voix, ou plutôt les voix. Celles de deux grandes figures de la nouvelle génération du Fado au Portugal : la star Ana Moura et l’étoile montante António Zambujo. Ces deux-là qui n’ont évidemment rien oublié de l’héritage inextinguible d’Amália Rodrigues inventent depuis une quinzaine d’années, chacun à leur façon, d’autres couleurs et contours à ce grand art populaire du blues portugais. Lors de cette « première » proposée sous les voûtes majestueuses de la Basilique, la voix profonde et sensuelle d’Ana et celle angélique et ondulante d’Antonio, se partageront la scène, en solo ou en duo, dans des arrangements symphoniques jamais entendus. L’orchestre National de Bretagne les accompagne, placé sous la direction de l’étonnante franco-irlandaise Fiona Monbet, chouchoute du festival, à la fois violoniste (passée par le CNSM de Paris et le centre des musiques de Didier Lockwood) mais aussi, et de plus en plus souvent, cheffe d’orchestre.
