« Au loin, sans être détaché, jamais à l’ombre ou comparé, il brille par sa capacité au rêve et son élan serein. Il compose à sa manière une partition dégagée des soucis du brio et de l’impertinence. Il vogue. »… C’est ainsi que Christophe Martin aquarelle joliment le festival « Faits d’hiver », dont il assure la direction artistique, devinant dans « l’arrière-pays chanté des philosophes et des poètes » la retraite féconde des chercheurs obstinés, à l’écart des tapageurs médiatiques et autres provocateurs de salon. Avec quelques quinze pièces, dont sept créations, présentées dans sept lieux, l’édition 2010 tient haut la bannière de « danse d’auteurs » qu’elle arbore en sous-titre.
Une palette de propositions
Ainsi d’Eléonore Didier qui s’échappe des lieux conventionnels pour un !Kung solo original et prend l’expérience du processus de création comme matière à créer. Ou des Gens d’Uterpan, fins observateurs des pratiques culturelles, qui passent le débat artistique à la question dans Nocturne démocratie. Philippe Ménard fait, lui, un Showtime spécial, qui manipule à vue les mécanismes du « show » tout en trouvant l’émotion au revers du décor, tandis que Geisha Fontaine et Pierre Cottreau continuent à démonter, pièce après pièce, les composantes de la danse. Quant à Pascal Allio, Thierry Baë, Raphaël Cottin, Herman Diephuis, Nicolas Maloufi, Viviana Moin, Sylvain Prunenec, Fabrice Ramalingom, Serge Ricci, Félix Rückert, Gaël Sesboüé… tous à leur manière apportent les couleurs singulières d’une danse contemporaine qui revendique résolument sa diversité.
