Michel Schweizer est un habitué des collaborations avec des personnes issues d’autres mondes que celui de la danse : des strip-teaseuses, un maître-chien, notamment, se trouvaient au cœur de ses précédentes créations. En 2009, le chorégraphe se tourne non pas vers des métiers spécifiques, mais vers un âge qui nous renvoie tous au trouble et à la transformation : il réunit dix adolescents (17-19 ans) autour d’un projet de comédie musicale. Si les références de ce genre (chansons populaires, interprétées de façon plus ou moins ironique) sont bien présentes dans Fauves, la création issue de cette rencontre, l’essentiel est sans doute ailleurs : dans l’exposition crue de corps et d’identités en formation, dont l’énergie déborde les conventions théâtrales. L’énergie est au cœur de toute cette soirée : à 18H, la représentation sera précédée d’une conférence intitulée « Do it yourself ! », au cours de laquelle Pierre Mikaïloff nous invite, photographies, films et musique à l’appui, à découvrir le mouvement punk-rock des années 1975-78.
