Ils débarquent sur le plateau, laissent en entrant leur téléphone portable, s’affichent frontalement au public : mais en fait de fauves rugissants, les 10 jeunes gens se dévoilent dans leur extrême sensibilité – « help », clame le T-shirt de l’une d’entre eux. Michel Schweizer, en grand ordonnateur, lance le processus : fort d’une très sérieuse commande d’auteur à un philosophe sur la question de l’adolescence, il demande à ses interprètes d’en commenter l’abécédaire. E comme émotion. Et c’est là que tout bascule. Les jeunes refusent l’injonction, interpellent le metteur en scène, prennent le pouvoir en douceur sur le déroulement des choses.
Un spectacle hybride aux résonnances fortes
Identité, révolte, sentiments, avenir, mort… Leur vision des choses se révèle dans de vrais faux dialogues, des solos de danse ou des chansons aux titres évocateurs (We can be heroes, Crazy…). On les sent à fleur de peau, perdus dans leur monde comme dans le temps flottant de la représentation. Au final, il ressort du spectacle un reflet très peu édulcoré de la jeunesse. Loin des clichés fatalistes, ils se posent en individus conscients de leurs propres armes. En face, les deux quinquagénaires que sont Michel Schweizer et le DJ donnent une piètre image d’eux-mêmes, fermant le spectacle par un dialogue fumeux et autocentré, face à une ado qui, elle, ne lâche rien.
