Si la « condition » féminine fait l’objet de bien des discours et de nombreuses œuvres, quid de la masculinité ? Connu pour son travail sur l’héritage laissé par la période coloniale, D’de Kabal commence à se pencher sur la question il y a plusieurs années. En toute discrétion, il met en place des « laboratoires de déconstruction et de redéfinition du masculin par l’art et le sensible ». Autrement dit, des ateliers consacrés à une parole qui n’avait jusque-là pas de lieu. Fêlures, le silence des hommes, est le résultat de cette démarche collective. Sa mise en chants, en gestes et en mots. Accompagné par l’auteur, compositeur et musicien Franco Mannara, la chanteuse et comédienne Astrid Cathala et le danseur Didier Firmin, D’de Kabal dit la face cachée des hommes, leurs fragilités, à la manière épique.
