D’abord rappeur, D’ de Kabal se frotte ensuite à plusieurs expériences théâtrales, notamment avec Mohamed Rouabhi, avant de devenir très actif sur la scène Slam, puis de fonder en 2005 sa compagnie R.I.P.O.S.T.E. (Réaction Inspirée par les Propos Outrageux et Sécuritaires Théorisés chez l’Elite). Cette dernière création, qui se décline en deux spectacles, – l’un pour le jeune public, l’autre pour un public adulte -, est née d’un constat : la quasi absence des femmes sur la scène slam, et donne conséquemment la parole à huit d’entre elles, slameuses, comédiennes, danseuses de tango, ainsi qu’une rappeuse, Bams, et une danseuse de break, Soria Rem. Ces femmes ont écrit les textes comme autant de voyages à travers des tranches de vie, mais l’adresse au public est ici contenue dans les mots et dans le mouvement des corps, vecteurs d’émotions et caisses de résonance aux multiples possibilités, où les divers styles de danse confrontent leurs rythmiques. Echanges et dialogues se mettent en place entre chaque gestuelle. Comme souligne le metteur en scène à propos des protagonistes, il s’agit de « les faire se répondre et s’interroger avec leur force poétique et langagière propre : leur adresse particulière, leur voix, leur corps, leur point de vue. » Divers modes d’expression se conjuguent et se confrontent, pour donner un relief singulier et une force émotionnelle inédite aux mots. Un spectacle qui bouscule les frontières disciplinaires.
