Marcus Miller, Wayne Shorter, Manu Katché, Richard Bona, etc… En quelques éditions, ce nouveau festival francilien a déjà su montrer ses muscles et aligner de bien belles affiches. Dans une vision résolument plurielle et exigeante du jazz actuel, l’édition 2016 ne déroge pas en accueillant, parmi beaucoup d’autres, la chanteuse Toni Green & Malted Milk, le guitariste Jimi Drouillard, le pianiste Laurent Coulondre, Yael Naïm, le saxophoniste Frédéric Borey, Fred Wesley & the New JB’s ou encore Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, indiscutables têtes d’affiche… Mais le charme de Ferté Jazz réside aussi, et peut-être surtout, dans sa dimension festive et partageuse, avec à son programme de nombreux concerts gratuits (sur deux des trois scènes du site), une brocante jazz (pour vendre ou acheter CD, DVD, vinyls, affiches, livres, etc.), des expositions, des apéros-jazz, des concerts d’enfants en écho à des actions de terrain menées à l’année… « En ces temps d’incertitude et de trouble, le jazz incarne plus que jamais la tolérance, le partage, le rassemblement. Il est une musique de paix, contre la discrimination et la haine » insiste à raison Magalie Lasselin, la présidente du festival.
