La nouvelle a été annoncée au début de l’été dernier : il n’y aura pas de saison 2011/2012 pour le Théâtre de l’Est parisien. Remplacé au « 159 de l’avenue Gambetta », dans le XXe arrondissement, par l’actuel Tarmac de la Villette, le théâtre que dirigeait l’auteure et metteure en scène Catherine Anne depuis juillet 2002 vit actuellement ses dernières heures. Avant le spectacle que mettra en scène l’artiste-directrice au mois de juin prochain (Comédies tragiques), la huitième édition du festival tout public 1.2.3 théâtre ! est donc l’avant-dernier rendez-vous de ce lieu de création, rendez-vous ayant eu pour ambition, depuis dix ans, de porter un éclairage sur le théâtre « tout public » qui s’écrit aujourd’hui. Un festival composé de quatre spectacles écrits, donc, par des auteurs vivants, quatre spectacles « pour tous à partir de l’enfance » s’inscrivant dans le projet défendu par Catherine Anne : « des adultes aux enfants, [porter] le désir d’ouvrir le théâtre à tous et la nécessité d’une ambition haute pour le public jeune ».
Découvrir le théâtre qui s’écrit aujourd’hui
Les petites empêchées — Histoires de princesses, un conte contemporain (à partir de 7 ans) écrit et mis en scène par Carole Thibaut. Mongol de Karin Serres (à partir de 8 ans), une histoire d’enfance et de différence mise en scène par Pascale Daniel-Lacombe. De la même auteure, dans une mise en scène d’Anne Contensou, Tag (à partir de 11 ans), le récit d’un quartier qui, chaque nuit, voit de mystérieux tags recouvrir ses murs et réveiller les secrets de certains de ses habitants. Les Epoux (à partir de 4 ans), de Philippe Dorin et Matteo Franceschini, un spectacle musical mis en scène par Stéphanie Félix et Christian Gangneron. Présentant des auteurs et des metteurs en scène ayant, durant les saisons passées, activement participé à la vie du Théâtre de l’Est parisien (la plupart d’entre eux ont été associés à ce théâtre), cette édition 2011 du festival 1.2.3 théâtre ! prend des airs de profession de fidélité. Une profession à l’occasion de laquelle seront attribués deux prix littéraires d’œuvres « tout public » : le prix Collidram (prix de littérature dramatique des collégiens) et le prix InéditThéâtre (prix lycéen des pièces inédites).
