PONTOISE / FESTIVAL
La 36ème édition du Festival Baroque de Pontoise invite à une traversée du répertoire baroque, et, au-delà, s’articule autour de la thématique intitulée « Mensonges », choisie pour cette édition 2021. Pascal Bertin, directeur artistique du festival, rend hommage cette année à quatre compositeurs : Josquin Desprez (500e anniversaire de sa mort), Tomaso Albinoni (350e anniversaire de sa naissance), Camille Saint-Saëns (100e anniversaire de sa mort) et Igor Stravinsky (50e anniversaire de sa mort). « Chaque année le thème est choisi à partir d’anniversaires de compositeurs ou compositrices, puis j’essaye de trouver ce qui les relie et en quoi le sujet est d’actualité. La crise sanitaire que nous traversons a aussi contribué au choix. Elle a montré le combat permanent entre vérité, croyances, complotismes et informations officielles. Le mot de « mensonge » aura été l’un des plus prononcés de 2020. Nous en avons donc fait notre thème en 2021. Nous évoquons des erreurs ou canulars de musicologues, et faisons joyeusement mentir la croyance en l’imperméabilité des styles ! » explique Pascal Bertin. Une programmation captivante à suivre comme on lit un roman.
