Deux excellentes formations sont à l’affiche, reflétant parfaitement l’actualité d’un monde musical particulièrement actif et peu connu du public français. Depuis 20 ans, le groupe Dervish – composé de 5 musiciens – incarne le renouveau de la musique irlandaise. Après avoir fait ses gammes en écumant les pubs du pays, il intègre la chanteuse Cathy Jordan et le violoniste Shane Mc Aleer, puis signe un premier album en 1993 encensé par la critique et ploie depuis sous le poids des récompenses dont celui de Meilleur album de musique traditionnelle irlandaise en 1997. Six jours plus tard, cap au Nord vers l’Ecosse, avec la jeune chanteuse Julie Fowlis, originaire de l’archipel des Hébrides, îles brumeuses magnifiées en son temps par Mendelssohn mais qui n’ont rien perdu de leur pouvoir évocateur mystérieux… Elle a l’originalité de chanter en langue gaélique. Une voix exceptionnelle désignée comme chanteuse de l’année 2008 aux « BBC Folk Music Awards ». Plus familier, un fest-noz breton conclura ce mini-festival Celte avec le groupe Pennou Skoulm le 13 février à 20h45.
