Pour saisir l’esprit du festival Chopin, il faut s’attarder sur son lieu d’accueil : le parc de Bagatelle et son Orangerie. Un endroit au charme étonnant qui irradie les concerts aux chandelles d’une atmosphère romantique, propice à la rêverie musicale. En cette année où l’on fête Liszt, Antoine Paszkiewicz et son équipe n’ont pas résisté à la tentation d’une programmation contrastée, rapprochant Chopin et Liszt. Deux géants d’une flamboyante virtuosité qui s’opposent apparemment en tous points, tant humainement que musicalement, et qui pourtant ont redéfini ensemble le piano, le poussant dans des retranchements jusqu’alors inédits.
Tous les grands Lisztiens seront là !
En 28 années d’existence, le festival a accueilli de très grands noms du piano et a même participé à faire la réputation de certains d’entre eux. Cette année ne déroge pas à la règle : la programmation est alléchante. Tous les grands Lisztiens du moment seront là ! Le concert d’ouverture sera proposé par France Clidat, que l’on surnomme aujourd’hui « Madame Liszt ». Jean-Philippe Collard, Mikhaïl Rudy ou encore Giovanni Bellucci viendront aussi faire dialoguer les deux faux frères romantiques. À ne pas manquer non plus, la pianiste lituanienne Muza Rubackyté, qui nous a récemment enthousiasmés salle Gaveau. Elle donnera l’intégrale de l’Année suisse des Années de pèlerinage de Liszt ainsi que la Sonate funèbre de Chopin. Les jeunes virtuoses François Dumont, Mathieu Papadiamandis, Yun-Yang Lee et Hélène Tysman se partageront l’affiche. Du côté de la musique de chambre, le trio Wanderer jouera la Sonate pour violoncelle et piano de Chopin ainsi qu’une transcription de La vallée d’Oberman de Liszt. Enfin, Leslie Howard, l’homme qui a enregistré tout Liszt en 90 CDs, viendra clôturer cette édition du festival qui marquera également le centième anniversaire de la Société Chopin.
