MUSIQUE CONTEMPORAINE / VITRY-SUR-SEINE
Claude Helffer (1922-2004) fut un extraordinaire passeur de la musique de son temps. Cet esprit scientifique – il était polytechnicien – se trouvait particulièrement à son aise dans la musique des avant-gardes, de Pierre Boulez à Iannis Xenakis en passant par André Boucourechliev ou Betsy Jolas, qu’il prenait plaisir à analyser et surtout à transmettre. Car loin d’être un esprit froid, Claude Helffer était avant tout un humaniste du piano qui accompagna des générations de compositeurs et d’interprètes. À l’occasion de la biennale organisée par les écoles municipales artistiques et la ville de Vitry-sur-Seine, le Théâtre Jean Vilar accueille l’ensemble InSoliTus pour un programme réunissant des œuvres de Pierre Boulez (né en 1925) et Michael Jarrell (né en 1958), deux compositeurs dont Claude Helffer fut l’un des premiers interprètes.
