Au XIXème siècle, le célèbre facteur d’orgue Aristide Cavaillé-Coll s’écriait : « L’Alsace est le pays des orgues », émerveillé par la profusion d’instruments baroques dans cette région. Aujourd’hui, le Pas-de-Calais n’est pas en reste. Le Festival Contrepoints 62 le prouve en proposant pas moins de quatorze concerts dédiés à cet instrument. Les grands maîtres seront à l’honneur, à commencer par ceux de l’Allemagne du Nord (Sweelinck, Böhm, Bach…) au programme du récital de l’immense Gustav Leonhardt (16 septembre). Mais le Festival exhume également des œuvres plus méconnues, comme celle d’Alexandre Guilmant. De cet enfant du pays, né à Boulogne-sur-mer en 1837, on pourra notamment découvrir la Messe Solennelle pour le Sacré-Cœur (15 septembre). Enfin, nouveauté de cette édition : une belle place est accordée à la musique polonaise. Aussi bien celle de l’ère baroque (avec l’organiste Marc Adamczewski, le 22 septembre) que celle écrite au XXème siècle (avec le Chœur de la Radio Flamande, le 22 septembre). L’occasion de se plonger dans l’histoire musicale de ce pays, aussi tumultueuse que son destin politique.
