25 ans et toujours aussi bouillonnant… Pour cette édition, le festival pionnier des arts de la rue franchit les lignes de démarcation disciplinaires. « Quart de siècle oblige, nous avons souhaité bousculer nos modes d’action et questionner une fois encore nos formes artistiques et moyens d’expression. Parce qu’il nous semble que la grande palette des arts de la rue doit continuer à s’ouvrir, à se métisser, à se nuancer. » annonce en édito Jean-Marie Songy, son directeur. De fait, la programmation « In » témoigne de cette ouverture aux autres univers du spectacle, de l’image, de la musique, de la performance et de l’art contemporain. Aux côtés des grands noms de la rue, tels que les 26000 couverts, CIA, Le deuxième groupe d’intervention, 2 rien merci, Tartar(e) ou encore le Teatro del silencio, certains vont puiser à d’autres sources : les Frères Forman avec le cirque forain, la Française de comptage avec le cinéma, Antoine Defoort et Halory Goerger avec l’installation… En sus des quinze spectacles, seize performeurs investiront la ville pour surprendre les circulations habituelles et dérouter les regards. Sans compter les quelque 450 troupes du Off venues pour le Rendez-vous des compagnies de passage. En réaffirmant l’espace public comme lieu invention, le festival d’Aurillac rappelle à sa façon que « l’art doit rester le fer de lance de la vigilance et de l’imagination de nos sociétés. ».
