Festival d’Automne
Musique contemporaine
C’est à une figure joyeuse de la musique contemporaine que le Festival d’Automne consacre un cycle de cinq concerts jusqu’au 15 décembre. Lors de ce premier rendez-vous autour de Benedict Mason le 21 septembre à l’Amphithéâtre-Bastille, Rolf Hind au piano et David Alberman au violon donnent Seventh, un duo autant à voir qu’à entendre, écrit pour des musiciens capables de jouer la comédie et d’aller au-delà de leur rôle de musiciens. Par la parole rajoutée à la musique instrumentale, par une écriture qui cherche à surprendre et une mise en espace toujours renouvelée pour s’adapter à chaque salle, la partition de Seventh est fantasque. Elle oblige le spectateur à perdre ses repères et à entendre les sonorités brutes des deux instruments classiques à cordes les plus emblématiques, loin des habitudes du déroulement d’un concert ordinaire. L’Ensemble Recherche investit également l’Amphithéâtre Bastille, le 5 octobre pour une soirée toute de transparence, consacrée au danois Hans Abrahamsen. Sa musique synthétise sans tension deux versants presque opposés du postmodernisme, concrétiste et postromantique.
