HAUTE-LOIRE / FESTIVAL / MUSIQUE SACREE
C’est l’un des géants de la saison musicale estivale. Bien calé à l’arrière de l’été et perché sur sa colline à l’abri d’une abbaye millénaire, le festival de La Chaise-Dieu délivre le temps d’une semaine, à rythme soutenu, une cinquantaine de propositions de concerts (dont la moitié en accès gratuit). L’imposante abbatiale Saint-Robert concentre les concerts les plus marquants et prestigieux mais le festival se déploie aussi dans vingt villes ou villages alentours. Impossible de détailler la programmation qui se voue naturellement et prioritairement aux grands chefs-d’œuvre de la musique sacrée et à la musique symphonique mais mentionnons cependant le retour du grand pianiste français Roger Muraro, accompagné par l’Orchestre national de Lyon dans le Concerto de Grieg (le 28/08 à 21h), les deux propositions simultanées du 29 août à 21h : l’Orchestre d’Auvergne dirigé par Roberto Fores Veses interprétant la Septième symphonie de Beethoven à l’Abbatiale de La Chaise-Dieu, et les Musiciens du Louvre (direction Francesco Corti) dans le Stabat Mater de Pergolèse à la Basilique Saint-Julien de Brioude, ou encore, en concert d’ouverture, l’exceptionnel chanteur Damien Guillon, ici uniquement au pupitre concentré sur ses enjeux de chef, à la tête de son ensemble Le Banquet céleste dans la Passion selon Saint-Jean de Bach (le 23 à 21h).
