C’est au cœur du Dauphiné qu’est né Berlioz en 1803. Depuis quatorze ans, sa ville natale, La Côte Saint-André, lui consacre un festival. Cet été, la manifestation met en avant l’amour dans les œuvres du bouillonnant Hector et de ses contemporains. Une thématique naturelle, quand on sait que Berlioz écrivit sa Symphonie fantastique après être tombé fou amoureux d’une actrice de théâtre. Cette œuvre sera d’ailleurs donnée par l’Orchestre National de Lyon et Michel Plasson, qui la connaît sur le bout des doigts (le 31 août). Autre œuvre berliozienne aux effluves sentimentales, les Nuits d’été seront malicieusement couplées à l’Arlésienne de Bizet par Marc Minkowski et ses Musiciens du Louvre (le 29 août). Inévitable, la scène d’amour de Roméo et Juliette sera proposée par l’orchestre de la R.A.I. dirigé par le chaleureux Daniel Kawka (le 25 août). Enfin, particularité de cette édition : la création d’un festival off, avec les musiciens amateurs de la région. Au menu notamment, une déambulation dans les rues de la Côte Saint-André au son de la Marche des Troyens ! Un concept révolutionnaire et donc parfaitement berliozien.
