Il y en aura pour tous les goûts. Ceux qui aiment le piano virtuose, brillant, ne manqueront pas Yuja Wang, la prodige chinoise qui commence à faire de l’ombre à Lang Lang (le 23 juillet). Ceux qui préfèrent le piano aristocrate, tout aussi impeccable digitalement mais plus intérieur, iront entendre Nikolaï Lugansky (le 25 juillet), tandis que les amoureux du piano sombre, profond réserveront leurs places pour Brigitte Engerer dans l’intégrale des Harmonies poétiques et religieuses de Liszt (le 3 août). Génie imprévisible et toujours inspiré, Grigory Sokolov donnera quant à lui un récital au Grand théâtre d’Aix – il ne supporte pas le plein air (le 3 août). Et comme chaque année, les fidèles du programmateur René Martin, l’homme de la Folle journée, seront au rendez-vous (Anne Queffélec, Zhu Xiao Mei, Christian Zacharias…), sans oublier bien sûr une belle brochette de jeunes talents.
Jazz et instruments anciens
Mais attention : les fans de piano classique n’ont pas l’exclusivité. Le jazz est aussi au rendez-vous avec notamment l’élégant Yaron Herman (avec son Trio le 28 juillet), le duo Joshua Redman-Brad Mehldau (le 29 juillet) ou le très tendance Francesco Tristano au piano électro (31 juillet). A l’opposé, du côté des instruments anciens, on grille d’impatience à l’idée d’assister à la rencontre entre deux personnalités électriques du clavecin : Pierre Hantaï et Skip Sempé, qui vont se lancer dans une transcription des Indes galantes de Rameau (le 19 août). Décidément, le Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron n’a pas d’équivalent sur toute la planète ! On en oublierait presque les restaurants (pas très bons) qui haussent les prix et la difficulté à trouver encore un lit disponible dans les alentours…
