MUSIQUE VOCALE / AVEYRON
Nichée au cœur des Pyrénées, l’abbaye cistercienne de Sylvanès constitue un écrin idéal pour le répertoire vocal. Michel Wolkowitsky, le directeur artistique du festival, a imaginé une programmation articulée autour de deux genres : les musiques sacrées et les musiques du monde. Le thème de la fraternité fera la part belle au dialogue des cultures, des traditions, des époques… Michel Wolkowitsky envisage en effet la musique comme un moyen de mettre à distance les « préjugés ethniques, culturels, religieux » et les « intégrismes de tous bords« . Musicalement, cela se traduit par des concerts autour de grandes œuvres sacrées : le Te deum de Charpentier (avec son Prélude cultissime !) par l’ensemble Antiphona, un concert mêlant jazz et spiritualité, un récital de bel Canto par la chanteuse montante Omo Bello. Au cours d’une même journée, le public pourra aussi bien découvrir l’excellent Choeur du New College d’Oxford que les musiques et chants traditionnels des Tziganes du monde ! Le voyage se poursuit du côté du bassin Levantin, avec une « Nuit soufie » où tourbillonneront les derviches de Syrie. A l’Abbatiale de Conques, à la lumière des vitraux de Soulages, l’ensemble La Main harmonique interprétera des œuvres de Gesualdo. Un bal traditionnel occitan clôturera le festival.
