Au sud de l’Aveyron, l’Abbaye de Sylvanès est considérée comme l’un des chefs-d’œuvre de l’architecture cistercienne. Depuis plus de trente ans, ses murs accueillent un festival mêlant étroitement musique classique et musiques du monde. Cette année, de belles rencontres sont attendues : entre l’ensemble baroque XVIII-21 et des artistes éthiopiens, entre le violoniste de jazz Didier Lockwood et le danseur indien Raghunat Manet, ou encore entre l’ensemble médiéval Scandicus et le chanteur carnatique Ravi Prasad. On pourra aussi découvrir une troupe de l’Opéra de Pékin et des chanteurs polyphoniques corses. Un brassage cosmopolite qui rappelle combien le multiculturalisme est une richesse et même une force pour un pays.
