Une journée-type au festival de l’Abbaye du Pin se montre pour le moins séduisante. Début des festivités à midi, avec une performance gratuite de jeunes quatuors à cordes à la Médiathèque de Poitiers. Direction ensuite les collines de la Vienne et plus précisément l’Abbaye du Pin, qui accueille à 18h un concert d’invitation à la musique contemporaine. Parrain de la manifestation, le Quatuor Danel y interprète notamment Helmut Lachenmann, Wolfgang Rihm ou encore Gyorgy Ligeti, confirmant ainsi l’engagement de cette formation en faveur de la création. A 21h, place au concert « officiel », où se donnent les plus belles œuvres de Schubert, compositeur à l’honneur cette année. Au programme, le Quatuor La jeune fille et la mort, le Quintette la Truite ou encore l’Octuor pour cordes et vents. Last but not least, la soirée se conclut au « Schu-bar » pour une prestation à entrée libre autour des œuvres à quatre mains du compositeur viennois. L’esprit des Schubertiades s’apprête à flotter sur la campagne poitevine.
