FESTIVAL / SARTHE
Dans le cadre d’une sublime abbaye fondée au XIIIème siècle par Bérengère de Navarre, épouse de Richard Cœur de Lion…, à quelques kilomètres du Mans, la 34ème édition du festival de l’Epau joue de la diversité de ses espaces pour explorer la variété des registres musicaux : musiques vocales ou sacrées dans l’abbatiale, musique de chambre sous les lambris du Dortoir des moines et musiques du monde ou actuelles dans le Magic Mirror installé à l’extérieur. Parmi les temps forts : la journée d’ouverture consacrée à la famille Savall – Jordi en personne à la tête de son concert des Nations mais aussi ses enfants, Ariana (chant et harpe) et Ferran (chant et guitare) ; un cycle Bach dominé par la Passion selon Saint Jean de l’ensemble Aedes ; des rendez-vous chambristes concoctés par le violoniste Renaud Capuçon ; une « Nuit à l’Opéra » conçue et rêvée par Alain Duault autour des voix d’Inva Mula, Raquel Camarinha, Valentine Lemercier et Philippe Do, etc.
