En invitant cette année l’Inde, ce festival, dédié à l’eau depuis 11 ans, emprunte deux voies. La voie du Gange – concrète et symbolique – qui oriente nécessairement cette édition vers une sensibilisation aux questions écologiques, aux retombées internationales. Agro-alimentaire, urgences climatiques, économie mondiale : l’Inde est un carrefour humain et un nœud de réseaux où la difficile confrontation entre la société et la logique de marché fait terriblement sens, au détriment de populations écrasées de pollutions et de misère. Et la voie artistique, celle qui relie les hommes, dans un creuset géographique de traditions musicales et chorégraphiques ancestrales.
La scène artistique indienne, ou l’expression populaire des dieux
La programmation touche intimement au populaire et au sacré. Transcendante et épique chez Divana, les Tziganes du Rajasthan (à Maisons-Alfort), classique avec le Lathif Khan Trio (à Bonneuil), étourdissante pour la fanfare du Jaipur Kawa Brass Band (à Nogent), fabuleusement brassée et un rien mystique chez les Gitans Dhoad (à Vitry s/Seine), dansante aussi, notamment avec la Cie Prana de Brigitte Chataignier (à Sucy en Brie), avec également des marionnettes, expositions de photos et dessins, arts martiaux indiens… et autres festivités et rêveries au fil de l’eau.
