Le printemps 2009 voit la naissance d’un nouveau festival au cœur de la capitale. Un festival qui met à l’honneur un champ poétique méconnu du grand public, la poésie sonore, champ né à la fin des années 1950 sous l’impulsion de l’auteur Henri Chopin qui travailla à sortir la poésie de la page, à échapper au livre pour faire émerger un art poétique davantage corporel que linguistique. Donnant suite aux expérimentations de quelques précurseurs (Guillaume Apollinaire, Hugo Ball, Kurt Schwitters…), Henri Chopin participa à l’apparition d’une forme de poésie vocale, poésie s’appuyant sur la puissance expressive liée à la simple diction, à l’enregistrement ou à l’amplification de la voix. Aujourd’hui, le foisonnement créatif des mots offerts au dire ainsi qu’aux technologies contemporaines se montre et s’écoute, pendant dix jours, à la Maison de la Poésie.

Dix jours de poésie sonore dans tous ses états, pour une premier rendez-vous qui en appellera d’autres, saison après saison, au mois de mai. Pour cette édition 2009, le directeur de la Maison de la Poésie a conçu un programme ambitieux et éclectique, programme qui traverse de nombreuses formes de propositions et donne la parole à de nombreux artistes. Bernard Heidsieck (l’un des pères de ce courant poétique, qui organisa à Paris, en 1976, le premier festival international de poésie sonore), Christian Prigent, Charles Pennequin, Alvaro García de Zúñiga, André Dion, Jean-Pierre Balpe… Par le biais de performances, de vidéo-poèmes, de projections de films, d’improvisations ou encore de lectures, ce nouveau festival s’annonce comme une occasion enthousiasmante d’explorer les terres communes de la voix et des mots, des sensations sonores et des jaillissements poétiques.
