MUSIQUE DE CHAMBRE / PYRENEES-ORIENTALES
Prades est sans conteste l’un des festivals les plus conviviaux de l’été. Cela tient déjà au répertoire abordé : la musique de chambre, loin de la compétition des concertistes et des tournées express des orchestres. Les lieux des concerts, comme l’Abbaye Saint-Michel de Cuxa, apportent un cadre intime, éloigné des bruits du monde. Aller à Prades, au cœur du Roussillon, ça se mérite ! Mais surtout, l’intelligence du festival est de mêler la programmation des concerts à l’organisation d’une académie. Des jeunes du monde entier viennent suivre ici l’enseignement de grands maîtres, comme le violoncelliste Arto Noras ou le flûtiste Patrick Gallois. Cette année, Prades fête son 65ème anniversaire. Le directeur, Michel Lethiec, a eu la belle idée de redonner le programme du premier festival : un concert Bach, proposé ici par Pierre Amoyal et le Sinfonietta Cracovia. La programmation brasse ensuite les époques, avec des programmes en quatuor à cordes (avec le Fine Arts quartet), un duo cor et orgue (avec André Cazalet et Pascal Marsault), de la musique nordique… Preuve de la gourmandise et de la curiosité musicale (insatiable !) de Michel Lethiec. Le festival se terminera avec le magnifique Chant des oiseaux de Casals.
