Environ quarante ans après ce que l’on appelle leur renouveau, la musique baroque, et plus généralement la musique ancienne, restent d’une vivacité à faire pâlir les autres styles ! Les ensembles spécialisés fleurissent toujours plus et de nouvelles partitions sont sans cesse exhumées des bibliothèques. Cette année encore, le festival de Sablé reflètera ce dynamisme étonnant en proposant de nombreuses créations : l’ensemble Neapolis chantera la tarentelle napolitaine, Amandine Beyer et Gli Incogniti nous feront découvrir le prêtre-compositeur Bonporti, tandis que Paul Agnew dirigera les Arts Florissants pour interpréter la musique sacrée d’Henry Du Mont. En partie grâce au succès des Indes Galantes de William Christie et du Platée de Marc Minkowski, Rameau a fort heureusement la cote dans son pays. Ainsi, Les Nouveaux Caractères et le chœur Mélisme interpréteront le ballet Les Surprises de l’Amour. Le festival de Sablé est la grande fête baroque de l’été !
