Lot / Saint-Céré / art lyrique léger
Saint-Céré a contribué, il y a plus de quarante ans déjà, à débarrasser le répertoire léger (opéra-comique, opérette, music-hall et autres) de son image un peu surannée. Pour gagner ce pari – c’est fait – le festival a su s’entourer de compagnies passionnées, inventives et généreuses, et s’appuyer sur de jeunes générations de chanteurs et musiciens. Cette 42e édition est un florilège de quelques-unes des plus belles propositions du genre de ces dernières années. On y retrouve ainsi deux opérettes (Yes ! De Maurice Yvain et Un soir de réveillon de Raoul Moretti) joyeusement enlevées par la compagnie Les Brigands et les metteurs en scène Vladislav Galard et Bogdan Hatisi, mais aussi La Dame blanche, opéra-comique de Boieldieu, dans la mise en scène très agile de Louise Vignaud. À noter aussi, un Don Quichotte mêlant Cervantès et la musique de Richard Strauss avec Elliot Jenicot, comédien toujours très musicien.
