Balançant entre grands rendez-vous fastueux à la Basilique de Saint-Denis et aventures métissées hors les murs, le Festival dirigé par Jean-Pierre Le Pavec nous réserve cette année encore une superbe programmation anniversaire. Premier temps fort, Riccardo Muti ouvre avec le Requiem de Verdi entouré de voix majeures avant de rendre à Kurt Masur « son » Orchestre National de France pour la célébration du bicentenaire de Mendelssohn dans la musique de scène du Songe d’une nuit d’été. Autres rendez-vous importants, voire immanquables : Pierre Boulez à la tête de l’Orchestre de Paris rassemble au même programme les Symphonies d’instrument à vent, la Symphonie de Psaumes de Stravinski et la Messe glagolitique de Janacek, tandis que son ex-complice metteur en scène Patrice Chéreau concocte une série de concerts-lectures au casting de rêve (Dominique Blanc dans Duras, Chéreau lui-même dans Dostoïevski, Marianne Faithfull dans Shakespeare, Charlotte Rampling dans Rilke, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi dans Barthes et Jean-Louis Trintignant dans Prévert !) et que Tunde Jegede signe (à la Basilique) une création sur les rives du Niger avec la grande voix malienne Oumou Sangaré et le Brodsky Quartet. Au programme aussi (entre autres) des Chants de la Méditerranée par le Chœur Les Eléments, un hommage à Nino Rota, Christophe Rousset dans le Stabat Mater de Pergolese ou le pianiste David Fray.
