Les amateurs de musique sacrée vont être gâtés. Le Festival de Saint-Denis propose cette année pas moins de trois Requiem. Celui de Duruflé (6 juin) sera dirigé par John Eliot Gardiner, dont la compétence « baroqueuse » a parfois éclipsé sa grande maîtrise du répertoire français du XXème siècle, due sans doute à ses années d’études auprès de Nadia Boulanger. A la tête de ses Talens lyriques, Christophe Rousset donne à entendre le sépulcral Requiem de Campra (9 juin), couplé avec des œuvres de Rameau et de Charpentier. Mais surtout, l’événement à ne pas rater, c’est l’interprétation de l’« hénaurme » Requiem de Berlioz par Sir Colin Davis, pionnier dans la redécouverte des œuvres du bouillonnant Hector. Quelques autres rendez-vous s’annoncent prometteurs, comme le récital de la violoniste Janine Jansen (22 juin) ou le Combattimento de Monteverdi dirigé par Emmanuelle Haïm (23 juin), magistralement gravé sur disque (Virgin classics). De belles occasions de se rappeler que Saint-Denis ne se limite pas au Stade de France.
