Commencé début juin, le Festival des Grandes Orgues de Saint-Eustache se poursuit jusqu’au 9 juillet. Les chaudes nuits d’été devraient ainsi offrir l’occasion de profiter de la sonorité incandescente de cet instrument d’exception. Le titulaire des lieux et directeur artistique du Festival, Jean Guillou, joue en duo avec le trompettiste Thierry Caens (11 juin), également connu pour sa fonction de patron de la Camerata de Bourgogne. Au menu : un concerto de Haendel, une pièce de Guillou et une transcription des Wesendonk Lieder de Wagner. L’organiste Francesco Filidei (16 juin) nous propose pour sa part un programme de musique contemporaine, avec des œuvres de Ligeti, Xenakis, Hosokawa… Cette soirée, en collaboration avec l’Ircam, révèlera les possibles sonores de l’orgue, un instrument trop peu exploité par les compositeurs actuels. En provenance de Rome, Livia Mazzanti (25 juin) nous fera découvrir des œuvres de Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, un compositeur italien tombé dans l’oubli. Place ensuite à un duo original réunissant Ulrich Herkhoffer, à la flûte de pan, et Matthias Keller, à l’orgue (2 juillet) avant le concert de clôture (9 juillet) donné par Zuzana Ferjencikova (à l’orgue) et Jean Guillou (au piano) dans des œuvres pour deux claviers signées Guillou himself.
