L’été n’est pas encore là que le Festival d’Île-de-France nous propulse déjà vers l’automne… La programmation de cette nouvelle édition provoque une mise en résonance avec l’une des grandes voix politiques de notre temps, celle du pasteur Martin Luther King, immortalisée dans son discours « I have a dream » du 28 août 1963. « De multiples échos à sa vision d’un monde meilleur nous accompagnent avec la musique » souligne Charlotte Latigrat, directrice du festival. Jazz, musiques du monde (africaines en particulier) et gospel occupent logiquement une place de choix dans la programmation mais la musique classique reste très présente : l’Ensemble Gilles Blinchois chante une Messe pour la paix de Josquin des Prés ; le Laudantes Consort interprète Les lamentations de Jérémie de Palestrina ; le Quatuor Diotima nous fait monter à bord d’un vieux train à vapeur pour un concert sur rail intitulé Un train pour le far East dans des œuvres de Reich, Cage et Crumb ; le chœur de chambre Les Éléments s’associe aux Percussions de Strasbourg pour une série de créations de Zad Moultaka sur le thème « I had a dream… » ; l’O.N.D.I.F. s’invite dans le cadre inattendu des chaînes de montage de l’Usine Renault de Flins « Pour un nouveau monde » autour d’œuvres de Jospeh Schwantner, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor et Duke Ellington, etc.
