Créé voici bientôt 50 ans, le festival a inventé sa légende en se développant sur l’île du Berceau, morceau de terre cher à Django posé au milieu de la Seine, sur la commune de Samois-sur-Seine. Catastrophe : ce site légendaire a été enseveli l’an passé sous les eaux d’une crue historique et le festival a dû en dernière minute se déplacer sur les pelouse du parc du Château de Fontainebleau. Il y retourne cette année pour d’autres raisons, les normes de sécurité pour les rassemblements de plein air n’étant plus compatibles avec la topographie si singulière de l’Île… C’est donc sur la Prairie du Bois d’Hyver que se dérouleront les 40 concerts accueillant les 150 musiciens de l’édition 2017, parmi lesquels, par ordre d’entrée en scène : Avishai Cohen, Asaf Avidan, Youn Sun Nah, Django Memories Projet (avec Stochelo Rosenberg & Hono Winterstein), Larry Graham & Graham Central Station, le Trio Jean-Luc Ponty – Bireli Lagrène – Kyle Eastwood, Dhafer Youssef, Lucky Chops, etc.
