DORDOGNE / JAZZ
Depuis longtemps identifié comme un festival de musique classique important, accueillant cette année le violoniste Nemanja Radulovic, le violoncelliste Edgar Moreau ou le pianiste Nicholas Angelich à jouer Beethoven, Schubert ou Ravel, la manifestation accorde désormais une place accrue au jazz. Bonne nouvelle ! Dans un nouveau lieu du festival, la Chartreuse des Fraux, une jolie maison de campagne de notable datant du XVIIIème siècle, un week-end de jazz réunit de jeunes talents sous le titre « La Relève en Aquitaine ». Le pianiste Gauthier Toux à la tête de son trio composé de Maxence Sibille à la batterie et de Kenneth Dahl Knudsen à la contrebasse est augmenté pour ce concert d’un quatuor à cordes, le Lilananda Jazz Quintet du brillant trompettiste et arrangeur Pierre Drevet dans un répertoire de bossa nova (le projet est labellisé « Génération Spedidam » et vient de signer son album « Bossa 2.0 » chez Inouïes distribution). Et un spectacle musical autour de la vie de Boris Vian est concocté par les jeunes musiciens de l’HEMU Jazz Orchestra de Lausanne.
