On y retrouve des jeunes auteurs parmi une pléiade de chorégraphes fidèles du lieu. Anne N’Guyen réussit cette année à transformer l’essai avec un duo de femmes, Younder Woman, dansé avec un brin d’espièglerie. Elles tordent le cou aux stéréotypes masculins du hip hop à travers une belle relation qu’elles font évoluer dans une proximité parfois troublante. La diversité des points de vue sur le hip hop est de mise dans ce temps fort : la belle abstraction de la chorégraphe se heurte au récit de vie brillamment incarné par Hamid Ben Mahi – également à l’affiche le 9 décembre au Wip Villette. La Géographie du Danger est un solo magistral qui plonge le spectateur dans l’univers décrit par l’auteur Hamid Skif dans son roman.
Des spectacles sur le mode de la rencontre
La Géographie du Danger porte haut l’idée d’un hip hop débarrassé de l’idée du corps glorieux, mais à l’épreuve de son temps. C’est également la démarche de la compagnie brésilienne Membros, qui lance son hip hop comme un coup de tonnerre. Ici, l’idée de la rencontre entre danseuses brésiliennes et françaises donne lieu à Florès, une performance de rue comme un lien entre le bitume et l’acte artistique. Dans le registre de la rencontre, voir également le travail de Brahim Bouchelaghem, qui ouvre avec Davaï Davaï un beau chemin vers la découverte de soi, à travers les champions du monde russes du Battle of the year 2008.
