Département de Seine-Saint-Denis
« Les habitants de Seine-Saint-Denis ont du talent et ils le donnent à voir ! » Tel est l’un des slogans du Festival interculturel TRANSIT qui, chaque année depuis 2002, offre l’opportunité aux habitants de ce département de montrer et de partager leurs talents artistiques. Coordonné par la Fédération des centres sociaux de Seine-Saint-Denis, ce rendez-vous de trois semaines souhaite « mettre en valeur la richesse et la diversité de quartiers trop souvent stigmatisés. « Au croisement des cultures traditionnelles et des cultures urbaines, TRANSIT est une invitation au voyage, expliquent les organisateurs. (…) En encourageant et en accompagnant les pratiques créatives, les centres sociaux offrent un espace d’expression aux habitants, un espace de parole, d’échanges et de rencontres. » Chant, danse, théâtre, conte, poésie, musique, art culinaire, arts plastiques… Privilégiant la qualité de la démarche à celle du résultat, TRANSIT est aussi une façon « de créer ou de recréer du lien entre les habitants d’un quartier », et ainsi de lutter contre l’isolement social.
