Ce Contre-courant alternatif propose en effet chaque année un festival pluridisciplinaire qui fraie habilement entre l’entre-soi du in et le tout-venant du off. Capitalisant naturellement sur l’insulaire pour créer de l’insolite, le festival mélange allègrement théâtre, conte, humour, musique, arts du cirque, danse, cinéma, lectures, performance et même magie mentale, dans une programmation qui cette année encourage vivement à la découverte de l’altérité. Pour ne citer qu’eux : Café noir, une performance proposée par le centre ressources théâtre handicap, plonge 50 personnes dans le noir et dans des activités qui les obligent, sans se voir, à se rencontrer. Bleu, blanc, vert de la compagnie El ajouad déroule une histoire intime et politique touchante, simple et instructive, du destin des femmes dans l’Algérie d’après l’indépendance. Un spectacle auquel Les Femmes du Waalo feront certainement écho : des contes et récits réunis par Thierno Diallo qui chanteront la louange des femmes du Waalo et d’ailleurs, debout dans l’Histoire et dans la vie.
Un Brecht punk
Par ailleurs, un partenariat avec le Festival d’Avignon permet au festival d’accueillir quelques poids lourds de la création : une lecture d’Olivier Cadiot, Ro Oua ou le peuple des rois produit par la comédie de Caen, ou encore, tout droit venus d’une autre île, la compagnie corse Nénéka qui jouera Jean la chance. Cette fable de Bertolt Brecht narre la quête du héros éponyme qui tente de rester en harmonie avec son corps, la nature et les autres, dans un monde qui fonctionne aux mensonges et aux échanges marchands. Un spectacle d’une évidente actualité, tout en énergie punk et initiatives laissées aux interprètes, parmi lesquels on retrouvera Clotilde Hesme.
