Musique, théâtre, danse, lectures, arts vidéo… Du 17 au 27 novembre, le Théâtre de l’Agora d’Evry présente une nouvelle édition du festival Les Vagamondes, plateforme de rencontres artistiques internationales visant à témoigner de la vitalité des arts de la scène du Proche-Orient. Une vitalité envisagé à l’aune de la qualité et de la pertinence des recherches effectuées par les artistes invités à traverser la Méditerranée. Quelles sont les préoccupations des créateurs vivant dans le Sud méditerranéen ? Quels sont les images et les mythes qui se retrouvent au cœur de leurs œuvres ? Le contexte politique et social de leurs pays imprime-t-il une marque forte sur leurs créations ? Voici quelques-unes des questions que souhaite éclairer Les Vagamondes. Car, à travers la programmation de ce festival, Monica Guillouet-Gélys (directrice du Théâtre de l’Agora) souhaite instaurer un dialogue approfondi entre nos différentes cultures.
Un pont lancé par-dessus la Méditerranée
Un dialogue qui, lors de cette édition 2009, s’appuiera sur les créations d’artistes venant du Liban, de Palestine et d’Egypte : le jeune trompettiste d’origine libanaise Ibrahim Maalouf (dont le dernier album, Diachronism, est sorti en octobre dernier) ; le chorégraphe beyrouthin Omar Rajeh (The Assassination of Omar Rajeh) ; la danseuse de flamenco libanaise Yalda Younes (Ana Fintizarak) ; le comédien et auteur égyptien Ahmed El Attar (On the importance of being an Arab) ; les auteurs palestiniens Taher Najib et Bayan Shbib (qui, dans le cadre des Journées euro-méditerranéennes de la dramaturgie, liront chacun un de leurs textes) et l’artiste portugais Tiago Rodrigues (L’Homme d’hier, spectacle coécrit avec Rabih Mroué et Tony Chakar), qui rendra compte, entre fiction et réalité, d’une Beyrouth énigmatique et fantasmée. Outre ces divers rendez-vous scéniques, Les Vagamondes seront également l’occasion de découvrir les œuvres de jeunes vidéastes et plasticiens libanais. Des œuvres ayant toutes pour point commun de porter un regard sur « la relation de l’individu à son humanité et à sa réalité ».
