Créé il y a 20 ans pour « réveiller la ville de la torpeur qui la saisissait chaque été », le festival Paris Quartiers d’été s’est imposé comme l’un des temps forts de l’agenda culturel francilien. Bartabas, le Théâtre Dromesko, Maguy Marin, Josef Nadj, Sandra Nkaké… A l’occasion de cette édition anniversaire, Patrice Martinet, directeur de l’événement, a souhaité retrouver « des artistes qui ont dérangé et surpris », proposant de porter un regard neuf sur leurs créations. Le rôle de ce festival « est de divertir sans pour autant se borner à créer des diversions », rappelle-t-il. Se proposant d’aller à la rencontre du spectateur, au sein même de son cadre de vie, Paris Quartiers d’été reste, aujourd’hui comme hier, « un instrument quotidien pour réfléchir le monde, pour en proposer d’autres reflets ».
