Présences poursuit sa programmation itinérante en signant son retour à Paris, là même où il avait lancé ses premiers feux en octobre dernier. Après des haltes à l’Auditorium de Dijon et à l’Arsenal de Metz, la manifestation nous donne rendez-vous pour deux nouveaux week-ends de concerts à la Maison de Radio-France. Une programmation placée sous le signe de l’ouverture et des chassés-croisés entre musiques savantes et populaires, « épousant avec détermination une tradition voulant que la musique populaire irrigue la musique savante et réciproquement » et marquée par « l’ouverture assumée de notre programmation à des influences pop ou rock » selon son directeur René Bosc. Un projet qui culminera avec l’invitation les 21 et 22 mars à 18 h de l’Ensemble de la Société de Musique Contemporaine du Québec. Cette remarquable formation, dirigée par Walter Boudreau et René Bosc, interprètera notamment le 21 des relectures de morceaux empruntés à des groupes emblématiques et particulièrement créatifs du rock progressif des années 70 comme Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Genesis, King Crimson, Yes ou Frank Zappa. Du 6 au 8 mars, Pascal Rophé et François Xavier Roth seront à la tête de l’Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France et Daniel Kawka au pupitre de l’Orchestre symphonique national de la RAI de Turin dans des œuvres de compositeurs plus familiers des manifestations de musique contemporaine : Benjamin, Levinas, Ligeti, Mantovani, Nigg, Tessier, Lutoslawski, Charvet, Reich, Lindberg, etc…
