Excluant de son champ de programmation les traditionnels spectacles à sketches qui fleurissent sur les scènes des cafés-théâtres, le festival Rencontres Seule en Scène a pour ambition de « faire découvrir au public l’extrême richesse et la diversité des monologues d’auteurs contemporains, quel qu’en soit le genre ». C’est du 10 au 13 septembre, au Théâtre Le Trianon, que la première édition de cette manifestation donne rendez-vous au public parisien. Durant quatre jours, dix comédiens se succéderont ainsi sur scène à l’occasion d’un programme largement consacré aux écritures contemporaines. En effet, hormis Confession d’une jeune fille de Marcel Proust (interprété par Sara Forestier) et La Grande Vie de Jean-Pierre Martinet (interprété par Denis Lavant), tous les spectacles mettent en lumière des textes d’écrivains vivants. Des textes investis sur scène par leur propre auteur : Rémy Boiron pour Ames à grammes ; Sergi Lopez pour Non Solum, qu’il cosigne avec Jorge Pico ; Gauthier Fourcade pour Le Secret du temps plié ; Sophia Aram pour Du Plomb dans la tête, qu’elle cosigne avec Benoît Cambrillard ; Richard Bohringer qui lit un choix de ses textes) ou par de simples comédiens (Flavie Avargues pour L’Enseigneur de Jean-Pierre Dopagne ; Jacques Higelin pour Novecento : pianiste d’Alessandro Baricco ; Régis Bourgade pour Jouer juste de François Bégaudeau. Souhaitant « rendre hommage aussi bien à la qualité d’une écriture qu’à la performance scénique de l’artiste qui la “transmet” à voix nue » le festival Rencontres Seule en Scène réunit têtes d’affiche et interprètes moins connus dans un esprit de découverte et de création.
