Orageuse et passionnée, fougueuse et scandaleuse, la liaison entre George Sand, la « terrible goule » dont les capacités luxurieuses et les colères formidables épouvantaient son siècle pudibond, et Frédéric Chopin, naïf sentimental et souffreteux, fit couler beaucoup d’encre et de bave… En oubliant peut-être ce que Chopin composa de sublime sous les yeux magnifiques de George ainsi que leur complicité intellectuelle et artistique véritable et sincère. La pièce-concert imaginée par Bruno Villien réunit en dialogue les pièces les plus belles de ces deux artistes d’exception qui s’aimèrent au-delà de leurs différences et de leurs conflits et contre les conventions réactionnaires de leur siècle. Macha Méril, qui nourrit une admiration sans borne pour la louve de Nohant, et Marc Laforêt, amoureux et spécialiste de la musique de Chopin, jouent ensemble cet embrasement sentimental et romantique, qui se veut un hymne à l’amour et à la création, ces deux fanaux existentiels indispensables dont la lumière est parfois trop éblouissante quand ils s’allument ensemble mais qui éclairent de façon extraordinaire ceux qui ont la chance et le bonheur de s’en servir de guides…
