PANTIN / BANLIEUES BLEUES / MUSIQUES AFRO-CUBAINES
Bien qu’il se prénomme Fidel, le natif d’Albi n’a mis les pieds à Cuba qu’en 2013. Depuis, il s’est sérieusement converti aux rythmiques afro-cubaines, à leurs capacités de projections métaphysiques. C’est en ce sens qu’il a pensé le projet ¿ Que Vola ?, qui l’associe à trois piliers d’Osain del Monte et des improvisateurs de l’hexagone. Enjeu : revisiter et réinventer les chants yoruba. C’est à la même époque qu’Otura Mun, ex DJ texan installé à Porto Rico, se convertit aux plaisirs de la rumba et débute son initiation pour devenir prêtre Ifá. Dès 2015, suite à une première vidéo balancée sur le Net, le collectif qu’il a formé fait sensation. Deux ans et quelques singles plus tard, le combo Ifé qui mixe incantations mystiques et prédications électroniques est parmi les projets attendus d’oreilles aiguisées.
