Comme pour mieux se préparer à l’événement d’une nouvelle production très attendue de Manon de Massenet, sur la scène de Bastille du 26 février au 10 avril, dans une mise en scène de Vincent Huguet et sous la direction musicale de Dan Ettinger, l’Opéra de Paris semble ouvrir une ligne française dans sa programmation avec deux reprises successives. La première rapproche pour la première fois L’Enfant et les sortilèges de Ravel dans la mise en scène de Richard Jones et Antony McDonald (issue d’une production de 1998 où le conte de Colette et Ravel était alors associé, sous la baguette de James Conlon, au Nain de Zemlinsky ) et le Prélude à l’après‑midi d’un faune de Debussy, sous le regard de la chorégraphe Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker avec les danseurs de sa Compagnie Rosas. Passant de Garnier à Bastille, viendront ensuite Les Contes d’Hoffmann d’Offenbach dans la mise en scène très efficace de Robert Carsen, maintes fois vue et revue depuis sa création en 2000 mais dont la qualité et le caractère spectaculaire ne se démentent pas au fil du temps (du 21 janvier au 14 février). Avec Mark Elder (direction musicale) et les voix dans les principaux rôles de Jodie Devos (Olympia) Véronique Gens (Giulietta) et Michael Fabiano (Hoffmann).
