Reims est l’une des rares villes de l’hexagone à ne pas sommeiller culturellement l’été. Depuis sa création, il y a une vingtaine d’années, le festival des Flâneries musicales rencontre un succès insolent. Plusieurs raisons à cela : la gratuité de la majorité des spectacles, la beauté historique des lieux de concerts et, surtout, une programmation diversifiée. Preuve encore cette année avec des thématiques réjouissantes. La série de concerts « Aimez-vous Brahms » donne à entendre les œuvres phares du compositeur allemand, les « Schubertiades » retrouvent l’esprit chambriste romantique, et le « Festival baroque » invite des ensembles sur instruments anciens. Les « Rencontres musicales » font le lien entre des artistes d’univers différents, comme le violoncelliste Christian-Pierre La Marca associé au percussionniste iranien Madjid Khaladj dans les Suites de Bach (17 juillet). Les artistes invités sont en grande partie issus de l’agence artistique Valmalete, dont le directeur, Hervé Corre de Valmalete, n’est autre que le directeur artistique des Flâneries. Sont ainsi attendus le violoniste Nemanja Radulovic avec son ensemble Double sens (3 juillet), le duo formé par Brigitte Engerer avec le pianiste de jazz Guillaume de Chassy (28 juin) ou encore le compositeur Eric Tanguy pour une création mondiale (29 juin).
